Course Description

You’re a music artist, manager or small label, looking for your audience. You’ve created the best song, captured the soulfulness of your artistry, and are ready to share it with the world. The power has been moved from the big companies to the everyday person through streaming and social media. YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook: the world is in the palm of your hands.

We’ll learn about the various music data metrics you should be familiar with, like Spotify monthly listeners or Instagram audience demographics, benchmark your music data against other artists similar to you, understand the various tech platforms and regions of the world, and maybe most importantly, know when to leave all the data behind, and focus on your art. So what’s your story and who needs to hear it?
